The audience-directed, Four Corners Theatre were the stars for Blackhorse Village Players Friday night.
They all came out winners, from the actors, the inspiring audience and the cause for celebration: the opening of BVP's new Web site.
The three local mayors, Mike MacEachern, Margaret Black and Marolyn Morrison were bringing congratulations to Blackhorse Public Relations Director Melissa Marks, Artistic Director Vicki Drier, President Kate Horzempa and Technical director James McFarlane.
Directed by an enthusiastic audience, The Four Corners Theatre "minus one" improvised comedy and created skits sparked by the imagination of the audience. They dabbled in games of Interrogation, Alphabet and Puppet, sparked by words, phrases and actions of the theatre-packed crowd.
Audience members were spotlighted: a politician turned puppeteer, an actress turned criminal, and members of the audience churned out favorite quotes that became punch lines when put to the test of the imaginative players.
Mayors from the three surrounding municipalities starred in a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Web site. The performance, cast in a shadowy manner, demonstrated the creative ability of the theatre members as much as the creativity of website technology. Google Blackhorse Village Players and see for yourself; you may find yourself surfing to the stars.
