Blackhorse Village Players opens their 38th season next Friday (Oct. 24) with the Neil Simon comedy I Ought to be in Pictures.
This show is anything but an ordinary season opener for Blackhorse. With her directorial début, Kathleen Horzempa is making changes and consequently some waves at the theatre. With an elaborate set, new multimedia in the lobby, a stellar soundtrack and a few surprise extras, opening night will not disappoint.
This comedy centers around Libby, (Sarah-Jayne Martin,) who runs off to California to try her luck with show business. Hoping her estranged father (Rod Cook) can boost her career. She not only has to deal with the rejection of the biz, but also with his on-again-off-again girlfriend (Angie Sapalovski.) This dysfunctional family is one everyone can relate to.
